AY should have more outreach programs and valuable enriching programs for YP. Outreach gives us sense of community value, while enriching programs strengthen our faith despite being in the “outside world”. They could also empower us by giving us some youths to handle. I’ve seen active youth abroad and to my curiosity I asked what they are. They said they’re young nurses, medtech, Doctors and other med professionals trained as AOY. They handle other youth and found fulfillment in guiding the younger generations. It gives them the sense of responsibility to keep themselves closer to God because they are leading other youths. It’s like each of them handle 5-7 youth each pair. I dunno much but it was good. Also, I hope they go away with the “concert” in the afternoon where singers showcase their talent in a worldly way. I have felt God in a Baptist congregation than in that church. They are for show off—feeling celebrities. They don’t go around shaking hands of people. Totally different from what I attended in a Baptist community. There is a sense of belongingness RIGHT AWAY. In our Church, so bland.
As stated above, we can have a time for the AY program which caters young professionals or wr can have a separate program for young professionals. In our respective churches that we belong, we have the prerogative whether to change or improvise AY programs which caters not only youths but also young professionals and all range of ages.
The elders must be there during the AY. In our church, adults/elders are always seen during AY and are actively participating. It's another level of joy when you see everyone is there. Don't forget to visit our church soon. ☺
1. Some ministers needs to improve their abilities in dealing with the young adults and other sets of generations. 2. Lecture style must be changed into something interactive, hearing more from the audience to hear their struggles in the church rather than just feeding them with do's and don'ts, and ideas to do in the ministry that are sometimes giving the young adults difficulties to execute, etc.
Since , I don't really have a problem with the program within the church, maybe because gamay lang among church so matagad ra jud kayka pag naa ka diri. I think I can still suggest something. Dili dapat manguli ang mga youth even adults after sa hour of worship, we can have lunch together para after ana , maka start dayon ang program ug dli ma feel nga neglected. Let's involve. Thank you for this survey.
People know what they do is wrong. But they all have a hard time changing. All they need is a heart that listens, instead of judgements or advices. We just need somebody by our side. We just need a friend. Not a counselor or a lawyer. All people have different opinions. It would be nice to just listen even though you dont agree with it, just listen. It's God's work to change the person. Leave that work to God.
They need to change the age bracket,to recognize the youth And the young adults. And the program too, dapat Ang mga topic for young professional is somewhat how to conduct a bible study or how to convince people na dili Adventist .
I think the topics in the AY are more focused in youth and for me, I would like it to be more flexible and also consider us, the young adults.
The unity of church members must be establish first. Majority of the church members are not attending AY because they are thinking that AY is for youth but it also includes the adult as they are the youth's example on how to strengthening the faith and the bond of all church members. As long as the adults are supporting the youth on what are the programs that will execute and the youth will also support the programs that adults would want to implement, there will be unity.
For me AY program should be lead by the adult and not the youth...how dare we expect them to lead if theres nobody leading them. It should be a place were they can safely say there thoughts and plans while the adults coucils them on how to do it in a safe environment.
